Delhi Airport Parking

Parking at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in New Delhi is convenient and well organized, with several parking areas located close to the terminals. The airport offers options for short-term stays, longer parking periods, valet services, and special areas for buses and two-wheelers. Most parking facilities operate 24 hours a day and are located within walking distance of the terminals or connected by pedestrian bridges and shuttle services.

For passengers driving to the airport, the parking areas are clearly signposted when approaching the terminals, and payment can usually be made at automatic kiosks or exit gates using cash, cards, or electronic systems such as FASTag.

Short-Term Parking (Terminal 1, 2 and 3)

All three terminals at Delhi Airport have short-term parking areas designed mainly for passengers who are dropping off or picking up travelers. These car parks are located directly in front of the terminal buildings, allowing quick access to check-in or arrivals halls.

Typical parking rates for private cars are approximately:

  • Up to 30 minutes: about ₹120
  • 30 minutes – 1 hour: about ₹170
  • Additional hours (up to 5 hours): around ₹100 per hour
  • 5 to 24 hours: around ₹600 flat rate

For commercial vehicles, the rates are slightly higher, starting at about ₹200 for the first 30 minutes and up to around ₹700 for 24 hours.

These areas are ideal for quick airport visits, such as meeting arriving passengers or dropping off travelers before a flight.

If you are only dropping someone off, try to keep your stay under 30 minutes to minimize parking fees.

Multi-Level Car Parking (Terminal 3)

Terminal 3, the airport’s largest terminal for international and many domestic flights, features a large Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) facility. This modern parking structure has several floors and can accommodate thousands of vehicles, making it one of the main parking areas at the airport.

The garage is located directly opposite Terminal 3 and is connected to the terminal by pedestrian access routes, allowing passengers to reach the departures hall within a few minutes.

Prices generally follow the same structure as the other terminals, with a maximum charge of around ₹600 for 24 hours for private vehicles.

Parking on higher levels often makes it easier to find available spaces during busy travel periods.

Long-Stay and Park & Fly Parking

Passengers leaving their car at the airport for several days can use long-stay or Park & Fly services. These parking options allow travelers to leave their vehicle safely while they travel and often offer discounted daily rates.

Typical pricing for extended parking can be approximately:

  • First 24 hours: around ₹700
  • Second day: around ₹500
  • Additional days: around ₹400 per day

These services are useful for longer trips and can sometimes be booked in advance online.

If you plan to park for several days, booking in advance may help guarantee a space and reduce waiting time at the airport.

Valet Parking (Terminal 3)

For maximum convenience, valet parking is available at Terminal 3. Travelers can leave their vehicle with trained staff near the terminal entrance, and the car will be parked in a secure area and returned upon arrival.

Typical valet rates start at about ₹500 for the first two hours, with additional charges depending on the duration.

This option is especially useful for passengers in a hurry or those traveling with heavy luggage.

Travel Tips for Parking at Delhi Airport

  • Arrive at least 30–45 minutes earlier if you plan to park during peak travel periods.
  • Use the Multi-Level Car Park at Terminal 3 for international departures, as it offers the most capacity.
  • Keep your parking ticket safe, as you will need it when exiting the car park.
  • If your stay exceeds several hours, check whether the 24-hour flat rate is more economical.

With several parking options available and easy access to the terminals, Delhi Airport provides a practical solution for travelers arriving by car.
